After three weeks of snail-paced release of the miniseries, we will finally get to see how this greatly anticipated sequel will end in less than two hours. There is still absolutely NO news about the potential full TV series sequel. To be honest, I think I'm kinda drained out to feel anything at this moment. Whether this miniseries will give us a satisfying open ending or another crappy pothole, I really don't care as much as before. My official SWAK ending will always be what the author wrote in the epilogue chapter. Anyway, I created this post for us to have a lively discussion on the last episode tonight. After Tong Xue sees the white Origami crane left on her desk, she can’t help but ponder all day about the person who folded it.  She gets lost in her own world until Song Yi interrupts her. He gets curious and asks why she would settle for such a “minor” design project with her impressive qualifications. Tong Xue refutes, “There’s nothing wrong of this type of design. Hard work should not be judged on such basis.”  She goes on to confess that she came to wait for someone but unfortunately, he’s not there. She tells Song Yi, “We have missed each other too many times. I don’t want to lose him again. I’m determined to wait till he comes back.”

Even though I think this new scriptwriter really sucks in creativity and uses the most hackneyed plot devices to ever hit Asian television, I must still give her credit for writing plenty of kiss and bed scenes for Mo Shaoqian/Tong Xue fans. She just posted a intimate scene from the miniseries script on her Sina microblog. I'm not sure if this scene ever got filmed or if the director just deleted it from the final product or it'll just get shown later. The scriptwriter is not too certain herself. She just said this scene should have been at the end of Episode 5 after Mo Shaoqian left that little drinking party. I'm just praying the director did shoot this scene and we'll get to see it in Episode 6. But don't have too high hope. According to another leaked scene schedule I posted previously, it appears this scene has been changed.

The actor for Zhao Gaoxing, Liu Kenan, just did a little video recap of the released episodes and inserted a few spoilers too. Apparently, it seems like Tong Xue and Mo Shaoqian got married??! There is one short scene where Tong Xue refers herself as "I'm his wife ." Another scenario is Tong Xue pretends to be Mo Shaoqian's wife so the doctor will disclose his Mo Shaoqian's health condition to her?

Episode1 unveils with Mo Shaoqian at a park and his assistant, Wenhao comes to report to him that Tong Xue is back. Surprisingly, Shaoqian doesn’t show any interest to see her again. In the car, Wenhao and Shaoqian discuss some business matters. It seems Shaoqian is still “Director Mo” or “CEO Mo.” He has definitely managed to keep his wealth and went off to do his own business after his fallout with the powerful Mu family. Shaoqian then starts to cough uncontrollably and takes his medication. Wenhao watches with worry. As they are about to leave, Shaoqian sees Tong Xue walking across them and still refuses to seek contact with her.

Hi all again! Sorry I haven't been very active lately since I'm swamped with work this week and can only find time to drop a few comments on this blog. Hopefully my schedule can free up a bit more this weekend and I can do recaps again for the miniseries. In the meantime, you can enjoy this newly release BTS video while we wait for Episode 5 to come out next week. There are some already seen footage, but we do get to see a longer clip of in the shooting process for the "bed scene."

I've been refraining to judge the miniseries until more episodes get released. But after Episode 3, I couldn't resist the urge to voice some of my thoughts. Many who have been reading my comments are probably aware of how I feel about the overall plot of the miniseries, which is a total hodgepodge of the most overused plot devices in Asian idol dramas. In other words, I'm feeling really apprehensive about the direction of the miniseries. I just really hate that the new writers made the once powerful, manipulative Mo Shaoqian into a terminally ill patient drowning in his own little depressingly hopeless world. How could they even have the heart to torture poor Mo Shaoqian after everything he went through?! ARGH... Well...At least we have one redeeming quality about this miniseries: the kisses. I highly encourage you all to watch this miniseries on the SOHU OFFICIAL SITE HERE to show support to the hard working cast and crew who put a lot of effort in making this production possible. You can also let it run in the background while you do other things as well. I think the success of this miniseries will be largely based on the number of "hits" or "views" Sohu gets for this production. Sorry Mo Shaoqian fans! Absolutely no shots of Hawick Lau in this video. It's mostly Ying'er and Li Zhinan, the actor who played Xiao Shan in the original drama. However, Li Zhinan is not Xiao Shan anymore. He will be playing Tong Xue's new love interest, Song Yi. You also can get to see a few short shots of the Zhao Gaoxing and new Liu Yueying.

OH MY GOSH! The captions in this BTS are hilarious!! I had a good laugh watching this video. I cracked up really hard when Hawick was molesting the bunny stuffed animal. LOL. I hope you all will enjoy this one as much as the last one.

For those who love the Mo Shaqian and Tong Xue pairing, this is a must-watch BTS video. Hehe. After taking a glimpse at what they filmed in this BTS, my anticipation for the mini-movie is skyrocketing again. My beloved Mo Shaoqian and Tong Xue finally get more loving moments!!! Hey, if the mini-movie doesn't end up according to the direction we want it to go, at least we have these sparingly few but sweet moments to relish upon. Let's just pray the director keeps all Mo Shaoqian/Tong Xue scenes and does not cut too much out of the raw material.

Sohu just released this short BTS video of Ying'er. We get a closer glimpse at the shooting process for the miniseries. Mo Shaoqian fans, sorry, not much Hawick Lau in this video. I think they're going to release another BTS video dedicated to Hawick later. At this moment, I'm pretty certain  the miniseries revolves around Tong Xue since she has the most screen time.

The production company has announced the official release date for this mini-movie is set on Valentine's Day, February 14.   We have slightly more than a month wait. I honestly hope we will have a satisfying ending this time! No more dreadful open ending! I also read somewhere that a BTS video should be released in a few days, so we should get to see that soon.

Someone just leaked a page of the production team's scene schedule online, which reveals A LOT of details about the story. I just finished translating it. Read it at your own risk! MAJOR DETAILED SPOILERS ! I highly recommend those who want to save the suspense/ excitement for later should not read this!! My reaction? Let's just say it's mixed. I'm going try to keep my expectations low and reserve my final judgement till I watch the mini-movie.

I've been doing some intense browsing on Chinese forums to scout more information about plot of the mini-sequel. Some fans actually went to visit the film sets. They were able to watch the cast shoot some of their scenes and posted online what they saw. Basic Info : Will most likely be released before Valentine's Day Mini-movie completed shooting in 156 hours (6.5 days). Ying'er spent 80 hours on the set to shoot her scenes while Hawick Lau stayed 60 hours. I honestly hope this isn't an indication of their actual screen-time in the mini-movie.  The original director and scriptwriter did not return to work on this project. The entire feel of the series/story will mostly likely be different. Don't have too high of an expectation! I guess I over worried about a ghastly ugly wig being put on Hawick Lau's bald head, because he won't be wearing any! The new Mo Shaoqian no longer sports that suave sophistication he projected in the first drama, but a more down-to-earth casualness in a down jacket and a knitted beanie. Somehow I totally cannot imagine the ever urbane and polished Mo Shaoqian to dress so casually. -_-|| Argh. He looks more like he's in the mafia. I know I shouldn't be too nit-picky and accept what they can give us, but I really miss his clean-cut dress suits. Edit : I heard that the reason for Mo Shaoqian's lackluster new look was due to severe time restraint. They rushed through the pre-production stage to accommodate everyone's schedule. The production team had absolutely no time to even work on Hawick's looks and he went immediately straight to shooting when he arrived. Please do not tell me the writer is going to throw at us the lame excuse that he just got of...

Even though I was very disappointed with Mo Shaoqian's new look, but I couldn't contain my excitement when I saw Tong Xue and Mo Shaoqian lying in bed together. Don't think dirty! They're fully clothed and not doing anything inappropriate for the underage to see. At most, I think Tong Xue is just giving Mo Shaoqian a soft peck on the lips. HEHE. I hope it's a good indication that these two tormented characters can overcome their painful past and reconcile. I just really want my cliche happily ever after ending for them.

I couldn't refrain my excitement and wait a little longer for more to come out before I post this picture. Zheng Long, the actor who plays Mo Shaoqian's young assistant (Wen Long), just uploaded this picture of Tong Xue and him on his microblog. We can see there's an improvement in Tong Xue's wardrobe. Is it just the lighting or does it feel like Tong Xue's eye make is too heavy? Based on her pink luggage, it seems like Tong Xue just came back from her study abroad trip and somehow Wen Long went to see Tong Xue for Mo Shaoqian's sake??? Now, I really want to see Mo Shaoqian's new look. I'm liking this new look of Tong Xue! It's sooo much more stylish than any of her previous outfits.

Due scheduling conflict, Zhang Ran, who played Tong Xue's best friend, will not be able to reprise her role as Liu Yueying in the mini-movie sequel, which will begin to shoot tomorrow. I'm not quite sure who will replace Zhang Ran, but I heard the production team just cast a new young actress named Wen Mengxiang. There is no official announcement yet about the character she will play. Many Chinese netizens speculate she will be take over Zhang Ran's character.
